Polished Ammonite

An ammonite is a pre-historic marine animal related to todays cephlapods and lived during the jurassic and cretaceous periods. Their coiled external shell is reminiscent of todays modern nautilus. These ammonite fossils offered are found in Madagascar and polished to highlight their intricate patterns.
